Monica

Several people sent me links to this article today. Monica Sprague, of the Boston area, recently had to deal with a similar situation as Suzanne. The Boston Globe Magazine has a multi-part feature, focusing on the ordeal. I feel blessed that Suzanne has been fortunate enough to have had her hands saved. I'm still digesting the article, but you can hear about it in Monica's own words with this video. There's another blog here.

  1. Wow- that was a pretty powerful video. It made me thankful Suzanne still has her hands as well. I am also glad that by seeing this, she knows she is not alone, and that this has happended to other people and they get thru it, as will she. She has many blessings to be thankful for!

    Keep smiling-
    Molly

  2. I haven't seen the video yet, but the article made me cry since I'm from the MA and get the Boston Globe and know Suzanne as my cousin-in-law. I also work in a specialty women's hospital and plan to share this article at work with the nurses since it's a real wake up call to all of us in medical care.
